Fletcher Living may sell Redcliffs apartment site
The Press recently featured a story on a Christchurch site for which HMOA had created plans:
Supermarket operator Foodstuffs sold the property – the former New World in the waterfront suburb of Redcliffs - to Fletcher Building for $5.5 million in 2021.
After taking over the site, Fletcher developed plans for 22 apartments with one, two or three-bedrooms, ranging in size from 50m² to 120m².
HMOA Christchurch architect Nicolas Sewell said all the apartments would have balconies and water or hill views. A rooftop courtyard was also part of the design.

Construction was to take two years, and was to involve demolishing the top two-thirds of the building for a c-shaped apartment block.
The ground floor car park was to be reused as a podium with commercial space at street level.
The project has resource consent but construction did not begin.
