An exciting refurbishment of an existing 1960s open plan block for this suburban primary school.
Our brief required the redesign of interior layouts to meet current Ministry of Education requirements for contemporary learning spaces. HMOA's design also increased teaching spaces and relocated the new toilet block to increase planning efficiency.
External improvements saw the rationalisation of complex roof forms and improved insulation with warm roof construction. The existing asbestos cladding was replaced with a durable rainscreen cavity system.
HMOA skilfully coordinated a multidisciplinary project team to meet all expectations of durability, sustainability and budget.
